Recipe for Soft Polenta with Roasted Mushrooms paired by Chef Jeffery Scott

Select Nebbiolo from Glenrose Vineyard, fermented wiith wild yeasts, extended 30 day maceration, aged for 3 years in 132 gallon French Oak pungeons and a minimum of six months bottle age before release. This is a serious display of the noble Nebbiolo grown on the dramatic Paso Robles west side. 

The fruit for this Old Vine Zinfandel is sourced from the Martinelli Vineyard in Templeton, California. Planted in the traditional head trained style by Amedo Martinelli in 1920, these vines have never been irrigated. It is an honor to work with vines with such history. 

 It is bright in the nose, of course it is! A touch of bees comb, it is delicately floral, a waft of gardenias in the sunny courtyard, honey dew melon ripe and fragrant, lime flower, lots of citrus in fact, there is a touch of richness here, some salinity. As we would expect from the Picpoul the finish is long and carries glorious acidity. This wine intrigues.
