2014 Old Hat

Lone Madrone's OLD HAT is made with grapes from the Osgood family farm. David Osgood has tended the old, dry farmed vineyards of west Paso Robles for many years. The Osgood Vineyard is planted with Paso heritage selections. The vines are head pruned and dry farmed in the classic style. The name OLD HAT was inspired by David's ever present hat...coupled with the fact that a Paso Zin/Petite blend is indeed 'old hat'. Cheers Osgood Family.

2015 Bailey Ranch Zinfandel

David Bailey planted this vineyard on the old family property on Peachy Canyon Road. This a head pruned, dry farmed vineyard.  This wine is 100% Zin - old time Paso baby! Yeahh! It is all you expect and then just a wee bit more. Cheers, David Bailey

2013 The Will

Rich, vivacious and dusty - this wine is an excellent ambassador for the dry-farm movement. Grenache Noir as a leader in blends will undoubtedly bring bright red fruits and intrigue from its unique tannic profile. You find both of these in spades in the personality of The Will. Zinfandel contributes spice and acidity, and the Petite Sirah binds it all together with its marked smoothness.

2013 Old Vine Zinfandel

The fruit for this Old Vine Zinfandel is sourced from the Martinelli Vineyard in Templeton, California. Planted in the traditional head trained style by Amedo Martinelli in 1920, these vines have never been irrigated. It is an honor to work with vines with such history.

2014 Sheep Camp Zinfandel

Sheep Camp is the historic name of what is now Old Oak Vineyard. Planted around 40 years ago in the traditional dry-farmed, head-pruned style on the west side of Paso Robles. Now owned and operated by Dave and Cathy Colmar, it is in good hands with an eye to its future and well being. This is a unique and intense version of old west Paso Robles Zinfandel. Strong in character, yet holding great acidity and balance.
